Versant Unveils Plans and Acquisitions Ahead of Comcast Split
Versant, a company that will soon separate from Comcast, has big plans for the future.
They want to offer a new service called MS Now, which will be available directly to consumers and will focus on community and progressive values.
They also announced that they are buying two companies: Free TV Networks, which provides free TV channels, and Indy Cinema Group, which helps movie theaters with their operations.
Versant expects to make a lot of money in 2025, with $6.6 billion in revenue and $2.2 billion in profits.
They will start with some debt but also have a lot of cash.
The company is trying to move away from traditional cable TV and invest in other areas like digital services and premium content.
They will officially become their own company in early 2026 and will be traded on the Nasdaq stock market.
Versant plans to launch MS Now, a direct-to-consumer offering centered around community, membership, and democracy, set to debut in summer 2026.
