Delhi CM Orders Probe After Satya Niketan PG Collapse

A building in Delhi’s Satya Niketan area suddenly collapsed.

It was a five-storey building used as a paying guest hostel for students.

Several students were killed and others were hurt.

One report said five people had died, while a later report said the toll had risen to six.

Rescue workers searched the rubble for people who might still be trapped.

Officials said 11 people had been rescued, while one report estimated that 30 to 35 students could still be under the debris.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the site.

She ordered an investigation and an FIR against the building owner.

The reports also said repair work was happening and that the building’s age was disputed.
