Delhi Govt Launches Initiative to Connect Youth with Industry
The Delhi government is starting a new program to help young people get ready for jobs.
They're teaming up with companies like Maruti Suzuki to teach students at special schools called ITIs.
These schools will offer hands-on training using the same tools and equipment used in real workplaces.
Students will learn important skills and get help finding jobs.
The goal is to give young people skills they need, rather than just giving them a degree.
The program will also encourage more women to consider jobs in fields like welding and fitting.
The project will train people in multiple fields including two-wheeler repair, welding, and robotics.
Delhi government launched an initiative to connect youth with industry.
MoUs were signed with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL), Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL), Quest Alliance and Hettich Power Wood Working Institute (HPWWI).
Students in ITIs will receive direct, advanced and practical training aligned with industry standards.
HPWWI will offer free technical training under Wood Working Technician Trade at ITIs in Jail Road and Nand Nagri.
