Haryana Signs MoUs for Four Waste-to-Energy Plants by 2028

Haryana plans to build four plants that turn some waste into energy.

The plants will be located around Hisar, Ambala, Faridabad and Gurugram.

Together, they are expected to handle 5,000 tonnes of waste every day.

They are also expected to produce 50 megawatts of energy.

The projects are planned to be ready by October 2028.

Oil Green Energy Limited will build the plants.

Government funding will cover part of the cost, while the company will invest the rest.

A minister said the projects should begin quickly, especially to address the large waste pile at Gurugram’s Bandhwari landfill.
