ECI Publishes Draft Electoral Rolls
The Election Commission of India will publish draft lists of voters for Tamil Nadu and Gujarat on December 19, 2025.
These lists will be available online and in hard copies.
They include information about people who are not present, have moved, have passed away, or have duplicate entries.
This helps people check if their names are correct and make any necessary changes.
After people review and suggest changes, the final lists will be published on February 17, 2026.
If your name is not in the draft roll, you can file an appeal from December 19, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Nearly 97 lakh voters have been dropped from each state's draft electoral rolls, with a significant number marked as shifted, absent, deceased, or duplicate.
