Argentine Families Seek Vatican Help for Venezuelan Prisoners
Some families from Argentina are very worried because their family members are being held as prisoners in Venezuela.
The families went to the Catholic Church in Argentina and asked the Pope and a important church leader to help get their family members released.
They said that their family members have been in prison for a long time and that some have even been missing for many days.
The families also said that the Venezuelan government has started to let some prisoners go, but not all.
They hope that the church can help make sure their family members are safe and come home soon.
Families of Argentine detainees in Venezuela appealed to the Vatican for intervention in their release.
Alexandra Gomez, wife of Nahuel Agustín Gallo, stated her husband has been forcibly disappeared for 411 days.
The appeal was made to Pope Leo and Cardinal Pietro Parolin, emphasizing humanitarian concerns.
Venezuelan authorities have begun releasing some political prisoners, but many remain detained.
The families expressed concerns about the physical and psychological well-being of the detainees.
