TMC Chief Disrupts AMC Meeting for SIR Camp
A big boss in the Trinamul Congress party, Narendra Nath Chakraborty, interrupted an important meeting about health issues in Asansol.
He wanted a council member, Divyendu Bhagat, to come to a different meeting about something called SIR.
Chakraborty was very strict on the phone, telling Bhagat to leave the health meeting and go to the SIR camp right away.
This happened because the party leaders are very focused on getting more votes, and Chakraborty wanted everyone to help.
Some people from the opposition party made fun of the situation, saying Chakraborty doesn't understand important health matters.
Bhagat said he was misunderstood and that someone might have provoked Chakraborty.
Meanwhile, another big boss in the party, Abhishek Banerjee, said he would contest from any seat, including Nandigram or Darjeeling, if his party asked him to.
He was responding to claims from the opposition party, BJP, that he was planning to contest from Nandigram to become deputy CM.
Banerjee said these claims were just a 'manufactured flutter' and that the BJP doesn't need to worry about where he will contest.
The opposition party, however, claimed that Nandigram is their 'fortress' and that they will defeat any TMC candidate if they contest from there.
The TMC disputes this, saying they won the panchayat polls in Nandigram and that even a grassroots worker can defeat BJP candidates.
TMC district president Narendra Nath Chakraborty disrupted an AMC meeting to summon MMIC Health Divyendu Bhagat to a SIR review camp.
The AMC meeting was discussing important health issues like combatting dengue and sanitary problems.
Chakraborty scolded Bhagat for not attending the SIR camp, which is part of the party's electoral roll revision exercise.
The incident was recorded and went viral on social media, drawing criticism from opposition parties.
Bhagat clarified that Chakraborty was misinformed and that someone might have provoked him.
