61 poachers arrested in joint operation
A big team of forest officers from three states in India worked together to catch people who hurt animals.
They caught 61 people and found some dangerous things like snake poison and animal skins.
They did this because some people in South Asia want these things for medicine, and it's bad for the animals.
The team worked in special protected areas to keep the animals safe.
61 people were arrested for wildlife crimes in a joint operation by Jharkhand, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh.
The operation took place between November 2025 and January 20 in protected areas of the three states.
Items recovered include poisonous snake venom, deer and leopard skin, 60 kg of pangolin scales, and three country-made firearms.
The operation involved officials of the rank of Divisional Forest Officer from all three states.
The high demand for wildlife products in South Asia drives wildlife crimes, making enforcement efforts crucial for conservation.
