BC Block Fashion Show Celebrates Bengali Culture and Adda
Imagine a fun party where people show off beautiful traditional Bengali clothes and talk about what it means to be Bengali.
At this event, contestants wore special outfits like colorful saris and traditional bangles.
They also answered questions from judges about Bengali culture, like famous poets and the importance of 'adda,' which is like a friendly chat.
Some people shared stories about how they represent Bengali culture to others, even far from home.
They talked about their favorite Bengali foods and even debated if football is still the favorite sport.
The event showed that even though some things change, like watching games on phones, Bengali culture and their love for talking (adda) are still very much alive and celebrated.
BC Block organized a Bengali-themed fashion show and cultural quiz during the Kali Puja weekend.
Participants showcased traditional attire and discussed elements of Bengali identity and culture.
Contestants were quizzed on themes including attire, cultural practices like 'adda', and Bengali icons.
Discussions touched upon the changing ways Bengalis engage with sports and the enduring spirit of communal gathering.
The event concluded with prizes awarded to Swati, Ratnabali, and Sharmistha, highlighting the celebration of Bengali culture.
