Kumkum Mohod Receives Electric Scooter After Winning Third Medal

Kumkum Mohod once told her father she wanted an electric scooter if she won a medal.

She said this after passing selection trials, but later forgot about the request.

After she won her third medal, her father remembered and tried to buy the scooter.

He was initially told there would be a three-month wait.

When the shop owner learned who the scooter was for, the owner prepared a special welcome and arranged for her father to take it home.

The scooter was parked outside Kumkum’s home.

She still needed a helmet, a license and some free time before using it.

Many visitors were coming to see her.
