India Rejects Chinese Intrusion Claims, Citing Un-demarcated Border Disputes

India and China disagree about where their Himalayan border should be.

The border has not been officially marked on the ground.

Reports said Chinese and Indian patrols faced each other near Taksing in late July.

India’s minister said China did not move 60 kilometres into India or capture an Indian village.

He said misunderstandings can happen because the two countries see the border line differently.

India is building infrastructure and improving patrols near the frontier.

The countries had a deadly clash in 2020, but some travel and trade links have resumed.

The Congress party has asked questions about the reported tensions.
