Sitharaman urges Indian businesses to build enduring institutions

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Indian companies should become stronger and better organized.

She especially discussed businesses run by families.

She said founders should not personally control every decision forever.

Instead, companies should create clear systems and train future leaders.

Family members should try to solve disagreements before they damage the business.

Sitharaman also said companies should cooperate with the government and regulators.

She noted that going to court should not be the first response to every disagreement.

India has many startups, but she wants more of them to grow into lasting companies.

These companies could help India handle changes in the world economy.
