Collector Calls for Forest Fire Prevention Efforts
The District Collector in Puttaparthi had a meeting with many important people to talk about how to stop forest fires.
He said everyone needs to work together and follow the rules.
If someone starts a fire in the forest, they could go to jail for at least three months.
The Collector also asked people like shepherds, farmers, and drivers to be careful and not light fires.
Forest fires are bad because they hurt plants and animals and can make animals come into places where people live.
The meeting also talked about using drones to watch the forests and a new team to help when animals and people have problems.
They even made posters to teach people about protecting the forests.
District Collector A Shyam Prasad called for coordinated efforts to prevent forest fires in Puttaparthi.
Stringent action, including imprisonment, will be taken against those setting fires in forest areas.
Close coordination among forest, revenue, Panchayat Raj, DWMA, and other departments was emphasized.
Drone surveillance and a Rapid Response and Rescue Team will be established for forest protection and human-wildlife conflict mitigation.
The State government’s ‘Hanuman Foundation’ aims to address human-wildlife conflict.
