Ambedkar Memorial Progress and Tributes on Death Anniversary
On December 6, Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, said that the big memorial for Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Mumbai will be finished by December 6, 2026.
This memorial will have a huge bronze statue, a big hall for events, and other facilities.
It's being built near Chaityabhoomi, where many people go to remember Ambedkar on his death anniversary.
In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath talked about building walls to protect Ambedkar's statues and announced plans to help poor and backward communities.
Many politicians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, paid tribute to Ambedkar, calling him an important leader who helped shape India's democracy.
Yogi Adityanath also discussed his government's zero-tolerance policy towards crime and the development goals for Uttar Pradesh, aiming to make it a $1-trillion economy by 2029-30.
In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav praised the Home Guards for their selfless service and announced various initiatives to strengthen the force.
Maharashtra CM Fadnavis announced the Ambedkar Memorial at Indu Mill will be completed by December 6, 2026.
The memorial will include a bronze-cladded statue, a 1000-seat auditorium, and other facilities.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath announced protective boundary walls around Ambedkar statues in UP to prevent vandalism.
Adityanath also announced plans to ensure minimum honorarium for Class IV, contract, and sanitation workers.
