Madhya Pradesh boosts cooperative sector reforms
The Madhya Pradesh government is making big changes to help farmers and cooperative societies.
They are giving ₹300 crore to cooperative banks to help them recover from fake loan waivers.
They are also introducing new schemes to protect farmers from mistakes made by employees and to help with loan problems.
All the cooperative societies are now using computers, and they are even working with big companies to help farmers in new ways.
The state is also a leader in milk production and has improved the way fertilizers are distributed.
All these changes are meant to make farming more profitable and help the state's economy grow.
Additionally, the government aims to make Madhya Pradesh a sports hub of India by 2047, with plans to develop sports infrastructure and promote sports tourism.
Madhya Pradesh government is implementing sweeping reforms in Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) to strengthen the cooperative movement and make agriculture profitable.
The BJP-led state government provided ₹300 crore to six cooperative banks to help them recover from fake farmer loan waivers carried out by the previous Congress government.
A new justice scheme (Kisan Nyay Scheme) and a simplified One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme for loan issues will be introduced to protect farmers from irregularities.
100% computerization of PACS has been achieved, with online audits of approximately 54,000 cooperative societies.
