UAE Suspends Iran Trade After Alleged Missile Strikes

The United Arab Emirates says Iran fired two missiles near ships.

One reportedly landed in UAE waters, while the other fell into the sea outside them.

Iran says this accusation is baseless.

Because of the dispute, the UAE stopped trade and financial dealings with Iran.

Donald Trump said the United States is not currently holding or planning talks with Iran.

Iran’s foreign minister said the United States is now asking to negotiate on Iranian terms.

Iran’s parliament speaker said the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until certain demands are met.

Oil prices rose as countries waited for possible efforts to reopen the strait and restart peace talks.
