Himachal Pradesh to Strengthen Disaster Response
The government in Himachal Pradesh is working to get ready for disasters.
They are building headquarters and centers for the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to help people when bad things happen.
They are also planning to use computer smarts (AI) to predict disasters, send out warnings, and help rescue teams faster.
This will make the rescue teams stronger and better prepared for when things go wrong, especially in the mountains.
Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena directs the speeding up of NDRF infrastructure.
NDRF headquarters will be at Mandi; regional centers at Nalagarh and Rampur.
The Samej flash flood in Shimla's Rampur subdivision impacted the region.
AI will be used to enhance disaster management through predictive analysis and resource allocation.
SDRF is to be strengthened by improving skills and integrating technology.
