IIT Kanpur Trains Army Personnel in Cybersecurity

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has trained 140 personnel from the Indian Army's Central Command in a special cybersecurity programme.

This programme lasted six months and included both classroom learning and practical training.

The first part of the programme, called the Basic Module, taught things like Linux systems, networking, and how to respond to cyber threats.

The second part, the Advanced Module, was for the best students and covered more complex topics like artificial intelligence-driven security and malware analysis.

The programme used tools like Burp Suite and Wireshark.

The goal was to make the Army better at defending against cyber attacks.

The programme was run by C3iHub, which is part of IIT Kanpur and focuses on cybersecurity research and training.
