Authorities bust poaching in Andaman and Bay of Bengal

Police in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands caught 8 people from Myanmar who were poaching sea creatures.

They found a big boat with 800 kg of sea cucumbers.

The police worked with other teams and local fishermen to find the poachers in the jungle and near the coast.

They had to search a large area for two weeks.

The police chief praised the team for their hard work.

This year, they have caught 45 poachers and found a lot of sea cucumbers.

They want to keep the islands safe and protect the environment.

Meanwhile, the Indian Coast Guard caught two boats with 35 fishermen from Bangladesh who were fishing illegally in Indian waters.

They found 500 kg of fish on the boats.

The Coast Guard handed them over to the police for further action.

Over the last three months, the Coast Guard has caught eight Bangladeshi boats with 170 fishermen for similar violations.
