Seven Push-Up Mistakes That Can Ruin Your Form

Seven Push-Up Mistakes That Can Ruin Your Form

Push-ups can make your chest, shoulders, arms and core stronger.

But doing many repetitions does not mean your form is correct.

Keep your body straight, like a moving plank, instead of letting your hips sag or rise too high.

Keep your elbows somewhat close to your body.

Put your hands near shoulder width and under your shoulders.

Lower your chest while keeping your neck straight, rather than reaching down with only your head.

Move slowly and use the full range of motion when you can do so safely.

If regular push-ups are too hard, start with easier versions such as wall, incline or knee push-ups.
