Uttarakhand Advances Proposals for Super-Speciality Hospital and Paramedical College

Uttarakhand wants to build a special hospital for people with serious illnesses.

It also wants to start a college to train paramedical workers.

The Union Health Ministry is studying both proposals.

The projects would come under Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said this could improve healthcare and medical education in the state.

He also spoke about respecting and empowering women around Raksha Bandhan.

The state offers women opportunities in jobs, business and self-employment.

Women will be allowed to travel free on Uttarakhand Transport Corporation buses on August 28 and 29.
