Indian Army Transforms to Rudra All-Arms Brigades, Shifting to 'Cold Strike' Doctrine
The Indian Army is changing how its soldiers work together.
Instead of having separate groups for tanks, guns, and soldiers, they are now creating combined teams called 'Rudra all-arms brigades'.
These teams have all the different types of soldiers and equipment they need in one place.
This makes them able to move faster and fight better, like a super-team.
This change also means the Army is moving to a new way of fighting called 'Cold Strike,' which is quicker than their old 'Cold Start' plan.
They tested this new system and it worked really well, so they are now using it to get ready for future battles.
The Indian Army is converting select formations into Rudra all-arms brigades.
This new structure integrates various combat and support elements for enhanced cohesion and faster mobilization.
The Rudra brigades are designed for quicker and more potent offensive capabilities, enabling greater speed and flexibility.
The Army is transitioning from the 'Cold Start' doctrine to a faster 'Cold Strike' strategy, validated during Exercise Trishul.
Two Rudra brigades are already operational on the northern borders with China, in eastern Ladakh and Sikkim.
