Giani Zail Singh's Grandson Returns to Congress after BJP Stint
Inderjeet Singh, the grandson of a former Indian President, has switched political parties again.
After joining the BJP four years ago, he's now back with the Congress, calling it a return home.
Before politics, he tried acting.
He felt the BJP didn't give him a real role and used him for show.
He's now joining the Congress, which he sees as a better fit to address the country's challenges, especially concerning the welfare of backward classes, and support social justice.
Inderjeet Singh, grandson of former President Giani Zail Singh, returned to the Congress party after previously joining the BJP.
Singh cited a lack of action on people's concerns and being used as a 'Sikh face' within the BJP as reasons for his departure.
Prior to politics, Inderjeet briefly pursued a film career, appearing in a few Hindi and Punjabi movies.
He had been associated with Janata Dal leader Ram Vilas Paswan for a significant period before entering formal politics in 2021.
Singh aims to regain his political footing, now viewing the Congress as his 'homecoming'.
