Bondi Beach shooters planned attack for months
Two men, Sajid and Naveed Akram, planned a shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney for many months.
They practiced their attack and even made a video showing their training.
During the attack, 15 people were killed, and others were hurt.
The police shot and killed Sajid, while Naveed was hurt and is now in the hospital.
The men also tried to use bombs made from a tennis ball and aluminum pipes, but they didn't explode.
The police found out that the men had guns and flags that showed they supported a group called Islamic State.
The men were at a Jewish holiday event when they started shooting.
Sajid and Naveed Akram meticulously planned the Bondi Beach attack for many months, with evidence of firearms training and an ISIS-inspired video.
The attack occurred during a Jewish holiday event, resulting in 15 deaths and multiple injuries.
Police shot and killed Sajid Akram, while Naveed Akram was hospitalized with an abdominal injury.
The attackers used a tennis ball bomb and aluminum pipe bombs, none of which detonated, but were described as 'viable' IEDs by authorities.
Sajid Akram legally owned six rifles and shotguns, exceeding a proposed new legal limit for recreational shooters.
