Safran Expands India Manufacturing Plans
Safran Aircraft Engines is a big company that makes airplane engines.
They want to grow in India by building new factories and working with local companies.
They have already invested a lot of money in India and plan to invest even more.
They are building a big maintenance center in Hyderabad for airplane engines.
This center will help fix engines for many airlines in India and nearby countries.
Safran also works with important Indian companies like Tata Group and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
They think India is a very important market for them and will help them meet the growing need for airplane engines.
Safran Aircraft Engines plans to expand its manufacturing and MRO capabilities in India through fresh investments and partnerships.
The company aims to align its investments with India's Make in India initiative and meet growing demand for commercial and military aircraft.
Safran has invested €200 million in a large MRO facility in Hyderabad for CFM International LEAP engines, expected to handle 300 shop visits annually.
A new MRO facility for the M88 engine used in Rafale fighter aircraft is planned, marking Safran's first such facility outside France.
Safran has launched a €1 billion investment plan to support global LEAP engine maintenance capacity, with India playing a strategic role.
