DGCA Issues Record 1,628 Pilot Licenses in 2024
The DGCA in India gave out the most pilot licenses ever in 2024, with 1,628 new licenses.
This is more than 2.5 times the number given out eight years ago.
The government is also watching airplane ticket prices to make sure they are fair, especially during times of trouble like when IndiGo had problems.
They made rules to keep prices from getting too high so people who need to travel, like students and sick people, don't have to pay too much.
DGCA issued a record 1,628 commercial pilot licenses in 2024, the highest ever.
The number of CPLs has increased by more than 2.5 times in the last eight years.
The ministry is monitoring fare levels and coordinating with airlines to ensure fair pricing.
Fare caps were imposed during the IndiGo operational crisis to protect passengers from high prices.
