Shrikant Kharat's Mumbai Exhibition Celebrates India's Architectural Heritage

Shrikant Arvind Kharat is showing his paintings in a gallery in Mumbai.

The show is called "Pigments of Antiquity" and runs from August 1 to 15, 2026.

He paints old temples, famous buildings like the train station, and everyday scenes from the city.

He uses watercolors, acrylics, and pen on special paper to show how light and shadow change the places.

Some paintings, like "Red Boat" and "Serenity," are simple and leave parts unfinished to make people feel the mood.

Kharat used to be a graphic designer but now works full‑time as an artist.

He wants people to feel the joy he felt while painting and to see the beauty of India's heritage.

The gallery is at Free Press House on Nariman Point in Mumbai.
