Paramount Acquires Trevor Noah Comedy 'The Island'
Imagine a movie about two people, a successful businesswoman and a high school teacher, who are very different from each other.
They're the only survivors of a plane crash and end up stranded on an island.
They must work together to stay alive.
This idea came from Trevor Noah, and the writer of the movie 'Neighbors' is writing the script.
Trevor Noah will also help produce the movie.
The movie is going to be a comedy, and it's rated R.
Paramount acquired the R-rated comedy pitch 'The Island' from Trevor Noah.
The film's screenplay is being adapted by Andrew Jay Cohen, writer of 'Neighbors'.
'The Island' is about a businesswoman and a teacher surviving a plane crash.
Trevor Noah will produce the film with Sanaz Yamin through their Day Zero Productions.
The film idea was inspired by the COVID lockdown.
