Annamayya Collector Directs ZMP Reports on Eco-Sensitive Zones
The Annamayya District Collector wants to make a special plan for the forests and wildlife areas.
These areas, called eco-sensitive zones, include Sri Penusila Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Wildlife Sanctuary and Sri Venkateswara National Park.
The Collector asked the forest and related departments to give their reports within a week.
The goal is to create a 'master plan' to help these areas develop in a way that protects the environment.
The master plan will decide what activities are allowed, not allowed, and encouraged within the sanctuaries, following the rules set by the Supreme Court.
This plan helps protect the plants and animals living in the forests.
Experts from different departments are working together to finish this plan soon.
Annamayya District Collector ordered officials to submit zonal master plan reports within a week.
The plans focus on eco-sensitive zones in Sri Penusila Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Wildlife Sanctuary and Sri Venkateswara National Park.
The Penusila Sanctuary covers 185.42 sq. km and SVNP covers 87.02 sq. km.
The master plan aims for 'environmentally sustainable development' in the sanctuaries.
The State government is formulating the master plan in line with Supreme Court directives.
