Housing sales dip 16% in Oct-Dec in top 9 cities
Housing sales in India's top 9 cities went down by 16% in the last three months of 2025.
This means fewer houses were sold compared to the same time last year.
Only two places, Navi Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, saw more sales.
The rest saw a drop.
This is the lowest number of sales since the same period in 2021.
Experts say usually, this time of year is good for selling houses because of the festive season, but this time it was not.
Housing sales in top 9 cities declined by 16% in Oct-Dec 2025.
Sales dropped to 98,019 units from 1,16,137 units in the same period last year.
This is the lowest quarterly sales since July-September 2021.
Only Navi Mumbai and Delhi-NCR saw an increase in sales.
The decline is attributed to lower demand and reduced new supply of residential properties.
