Ujjain Workshop Focuses on Safer Public Spaces for Young Children

Ujjain held a workshop about making public places better for small children and the adults who care for them.

The event was part of the Nurturing Neighbourhoods 2.0 initiative.

It focused on children from birth to six years old.

Experts from WRI India shared ideas for planning parks, roads and other public places.

Participants discussed safe places to walk and play, as well as shade, seats and clean spaces.

They also talked about making these places usable and welcoming for everyone.

Examples from projects in other cities showed how local communities might improve their own spaces.

Municipal staff and officials attended.
