APEPDCL Sees Record Solar Rooftop Installations in FY26
The Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) has seen a big increase in people installing rooftop solar systems.
In the financial year 2025-26, 51,583 new solar units were added, which is the highest ever.
This growth is because more people are aware of the benefits and the government is offering subsidies.
The solar systems help people save money on electricity bills and also help the environment.
The APEPDCL is making it easier for people to install these systems and is encouraging everyone to use them.
APEPDCL added 51,583 rooftop solar units in FY26, the highest ever.
Total consumers with solar systems reached 88,561 with a combined capacity of 475.33 MW.
Government subsidies range from Rs.30,000 to Rs.78,000 for different capacities.
Free 2 kW solar systems are being provided to 200,000 SC/ST families.
APEPDCL streamlined procedures for faster and more transparent services.
