Delhi-Punjab Row Over Atishi Video
There was a big fight between Delhi and Punjab about a video of Atishi, the Leader of Opposition in Delhi.
The video showed her saying something bad about a Sikh Guru, but it was later found to be fake.
The Punjab Police registered a case against her, but the Delhi Assembly said the video was recorded in their House and belongs to them.
The Speaker of the Delhi Assembly said the Punjab Police should not have registered a case based on a video that is the property of the Delhi Assembly.
The Assembly had already sent the video for a check to see if it was real or fake.
The Punjab Police said the video was indeed fake and had been changed to make it look bad.
Now, the Delhi Assembly is upset and wants the Punjab Police to apologize and cancel the case.
This fight has turned into a bigger argument between Delhi and Punjab.
Delhi Assembly claims a video of Atishi's remarks, which was doctored, is their property and was recorded during Assembly proceedings.
Punjab Police registered an FIR over the video, alleging it falsely attributed blasphemous remarks to Atishi.
The Delhi Assembly Speaker asserted that the video belongs to the House and taking action on it is a breach of privilege.
Forensic examination confirmed the video was doctored with false captions to incite religious sentiments.
The Delhi Assembly is considering action against the Punjab Police Commissioner for interfering with House property.
