Bihar Polls: High-Stakes Constituencies and Contests in First Phase
Bihar is starting its elections with the first round of voting on November 6, 2025.
This round covers 121 areas, called constituencies, in 18 different districts.
Many important politicians are running, like Tejashwi Yadav, who wants to be the Chief Minister, and two Deputy Chief Ministers, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.
Even Tej Pratap Yadav, Tejashwi's brother, is running his own political party.
Popular singer Maithili Thakur is also a candidate for the BJP.
Some of these areas are very important because of who is running and who has won there before.
For example, Tejashwi Yadav is running in Raghopur, which has been his family's political home.
Vijay Kumar Sinha is in Lakhisarai, which is a safe seat for his party.
The results of this first round will help show how the rest of the elections might go.
The first phase of Bihar assembly elections will cover 121 constituencies across 18 districts on November 6, 2025.
High-profile candidates include Tejashwi Yadav (Raghopur), Samrat Choudhary (Tarapur), and Vijay Kumar Sinha (Lakhisarai).
Notable contests include Tejashwi Yadav facing Satish Kumar Yadav (BJP) and Chanchal Singh (JSP) in Raghopur.
