Next iPad Mini May Feature Water Resistance
Apple is planning to release a new iPad Mini that could be the first water-resistant iPad.
This new model is expected to launch in October 2024 and will feature a redesigned casing that can withstand water, similar to the iPhone.
The tablet will use a vibration-based speaker system instead of traditional speaker holes, which will make it safer to use in moist conditions.
Additionally, the iPad Mini will switch to an OLED display and will be powered by the A19 Pro chip, which was previously used in the iPhone Air.
The current iPad Mini, updated in October 2024, starts at $599, but the new OLED model could cost up to $100 more due to parts shortages and rising component prices.
