Supreme Court Slams BCI for Interfering in NALSAR Student Protest

Supreme Court Slams BCI for Interfering in NALSAR Student Protest

Some law students in India were upset about something at their university's big graduation event.

They decided to protest peacefully to share their feelings.

A group called the Bar Council of India, which helps oversee lawyers, sent them a notice about the protest.

It even said the students could not join the next year's class.

That made many people upset.

The Supreme Court of India, led by Chief Justice Surya Kant, stepped in to help.

The Court said the students have every right to protest peacefully.

It also said the Bar Council had no business interfering between the students and the Chief Justice.

After the Court's strong words and public backlash, the Bar Council took back its notice.

In the end, the students' right to speak up was protected.
