RuKart Expands Subjee Cooler to SE Asia
RuKart is a company that makes a special cooler called Subjee Cooler.
This cooler doesn't need electricity and is not expensive.
It helps farmers and small shops keep fruits and vegetables fresh for a longer time.
Now, RuKart wants to sell this cooler in countries like Indonesia, Cambodia, and Lagos.
They think there's a big market there because people are becoming more interested in good quality produce.
The cooler also helps with ripening fruits naturally.
RuKart has sold over 3,000 of these coolers in India and has support from places like IIT Bombay and Nabard.
However, they are facing some challenges with transportation and finding skilled workers in non-metro areas.
RuKart is expanding its electricity-free Subjee Cooler to South East Asia, targeting Indonesia, Cambodia, and Lagos.
The cooler uses enhanced evaporative cooling technology to extend the shelf-life of perishables like fruits and vegetables.
Over 3,000 Subjee Coolers have been sold domestically, with more than 10% in North East India.
The company faces challenges in transportation and creating awareness about the low-cost storage solution.
Subjee Cooler is also being adopted by quick commerce platforms and organic retailers in metro cities.
