IIM-Ahmedabad Opens Dubai Campus to Expand Educational Influence
IIM-Ahmedabad, a top business school in India, is opening its first international campus in Dubai.
This new campus will offer a one-year MBA program and will also help new businesses get started.
It's a big deal because it's the first time an Indian management school has a campus outside of India.
The school hopes to attract students from nearby countries and eventually grow the campus to accommodate many students.
The director of IIM-A believes that education is a way for India to have more influence in the world, similar to how other countries use their businesses to grow influence.
They will also be adding a school to teach about artificial intelligence and data science.
IIM-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is launching its first international campus in Dubai in September.
The campus will initially offer a one-year MBA program and host research centers for case studies and start-up incubation.
IIM-A signed an MoU with the UAE government to establish the campus in Dubai International Academic City.
The Dubai campus aims to attract students from GCC countries, North Africa, and CIS.
IIM-A plans to establish a School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the Dubai campus.
