Jindal Stainless to pick Maharashtra site for ₹40,000-crore plant

Jindal Stainless is a company that makes stainless steel, and it is the biggest such company in India.

It wants to build a huge new factory in Maharashtra, a state in India.

The factory would cost ₹40,000 crore, which is an enormous amount of money.

It would be able to make 4 million tonnes of steel every year.

The factory will be built in stages, and the first part could start working within the next four years.

Right now, the company is still looking for the best piece of land to build on.

Its chief executive, Tarun Khulbe, says they should decide on the location in the next few months.

The steel made there will be used for special projects like hydrogen energy, nuclear power, and defence.

The Maharashtra government has promised to help by speeding up permits, approvals, and incentives.
