HMWSSB cuts water supply after repeated violations in Banjara Hills
In Hyderabad, the water board cut off the water supply to a house in Banjara Hills because they wasted a lot of drinking water.
Last year, the house was fined Rs 10,000 for the same problem.
The water was leaking from a tank and running onto the road.
The water board boss saw the problem again and ordered the water to be cut off immediately.
He warned everyone not to waste drinking water or they might lose their water supply too.
HMWSSB disconnected the water supply to a residence in Banjara Hills due to repeated water wastage.
The residence was previously fined Rs 10,000 in 2023 for an overflowing drinking water sump.
A recent inspection confirmed the same violation, leading to the immediate disconnection of the tap.
HMWSSB Managing Director Ashok Reddy emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for water misuse.
The Board warned that anyone found wasting potable water will face penalties and disconnection.
