India's Vikram-1 Rocket Achieves Orbit in Historic Launch
India just did something really cool in space!
A company called Skyroot Aerospace built a rocket named Vikram-1, and it successfully reached orbit on its very first try.
This is a big deal because it's really hard to do.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the government helped make this happen.
Even the Prime Minister and a famous filmmaker celebrated this achievement.
This success shows that India's space industry is growing and that private companies can do amazing things in space.
The government has also made new rules to help more companies get involved in space.
Experts think India's space economy will grow a lot in the next few years.
India's first privately developed orbital rocket, Vikram-1, successfully reached orbit under Mission Aagaman.
Skyroot Aerospace, the startup behind the rocket, described reaching orbit on the first attempt as a rare global feat.
ISRO congratulated Skyroot and credited IN-SPACe and ISRO teams for enabling the launch.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the mission a historic new frontier for India's space journey.
The successful launch was enabled by the Indian Space Policy 2023, which opened the space sector to private participation.
