Karnataka High Court Drops Drug Case Against Siddhanth Kapoor
The Karnataka High Court has dropped a drug case against Bollywood actor Siddhanth Kapoor and two others.
The court said that the medical reports from a private hospital used as evidence were not proper.
The police had found some drugs at a hotel where Siddhanth was performing.
But the court said the reports were not reliable because they came from a private place, not a government lab.
The court also said it was not possible for so many medical tests to be done in just three hours.
So, the case was closed.
Karnataka High Court quashed drug case against Siddhanth Kapoor and two others.
Court ruled medical reports from private hospital were not legally admissible.
Police found ganja and MDMA during a raid at a hotel in Bengaluru.
Prosecution's claim of rapid medical examinations was deemed implausible.
Case was quashed due to procedural lapses and evidentiary shortcomings.
