Priyank Kharge Questions RSS Registration and Funding Transparency
A government minister named Priyank Kharge is asking questions about a group called the RSS.
He points out that the RSS has said it is not officially registered as an organization.
Mr. Kharge wonders that if the RSS is really working for the country, why doesn't it register itself like many other groups that are transparent.
He also questions where the money to run the RSS comes from, asking who gives donations and who pays for the people who work for the RSS full-time.
The minister also questioned why the head of the RSS gets special security like the Prime Minister and Home Minister, and why money from taxpayers might be used for this.
Mr. Kharge suggested that by not being registered, the RSS might be avoiding taxes and scrutiny, which makes him question their claims of patriotism.
Minister Priyank Kharge questioned the RSS's transparency, noting it has admitted in writing to being unregistered.
He asked why the RSS does not register like transparent NGOs if it serves the nation.
Kharge raised concerns about the source of RSS donations and funding for its operations.
He questioned why the RSS head receives advanced security liaison protocol and the use of taxpayer money for it.
The minister suggested that being unregistered and unaccountable might allow the RSS to evade scrutiny and taxes.
