Indian Markets Rise on Global Cues
On Friday, Indian stock markets like the Nifty 50 and Sensex started higher.
The Bank of Japan raised interest rates to 0.75%, the highest in 30 years, which made people sell gold and silver, so their prices went down.
The US inflation numbers were lower than expected, which made people feel good about the economy.
The rupee also got stronger against the US dollar because of corporate dollar inflows and lower oil prices.
Experts are watching to see what the Bank of Japan says next about future interest rates, as this could affect money moving in and out of markets like India.
The Nifty Bank index also started higher, with private banks doing better than public sector banks.
Some people are buying stocks, and the rupee is expected to stay between 90 and 90.50.
Indian equity indices opened higher with Nifty 50 at 25,909 and Sensex at 84,797.
Bank of Japan raised interest rates to 0.75%, the highest in 30 years.
Gold and silver prices dropped on profit booking and softer US inflation data.
US consumer prices rose less than expected at 2.7% year-on-year.
Experts are watching the Bank of Japan's commentary for future rate actions.
