Water Stocks Slide Amid Small-Cap Selling and Payment Concerns

Water Stocks Slide Amid Small-Cap Selling and Payment Concerns

Several water-related company shares fell on Wednesday.

The biggest decline mentioned was Concord Enviro, which dropped 5.69%.

Other companies, including EMS, Taylormade Renewables, VA Tech Wabag and Ion Exchange India, also lost value.

Experts said investors were taking profits from small-cap stocks.

They also worried that government payments could take longer during the Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 transition.

Under the new process, states must meet certain reform conditions before receiving funds.

Experts still believe the water sector has strong long-term potential.

However, they prefer some companies over others because of differences in orders, earnings and payment risks.
