Army Neutralises 10-Kilogram IED in Manipur Forest Area
The Army found a large homemade bomb in a forest area of Manipur.
Soldiers safely made the bomb harmless after receiving intelligence about it.
Officials said this helped protect people and security forces nearby.
The discovery happened one day after three other bombs were found in another part of Manipur.
Those bombs were also destroyed safely.
Police, the Army, and other groups are working together to protect the area.
In a separate operation, two people were arrested for allegedly selling drugs.
Officials said heroin and two vehicles were found during that operation.
The Indian Army detected and neutralised an approximately 10-kilogram IED in South Thanjing, Manipur, on Monday.
The operation was based on specific intelligence inputs and was conducted by a formation under the Spear Corps.
The action came within 24 hours of three IEDs, weighing about 20 kilograms in total, being recovered in Jiribam.
Those three devices were safely destroyed through controlled demolition in coordination with the Manipur Police.
Separately, a joint anti-narcotics operation arrested two alleged drug peddlers and seized heroin and two vehicles in Kakching district.
