IPU Adopts CUET for BTech Admissions
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) in Delhi has decided to use the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) as a secondary way to admit students to its BTech programme.
This change will start from the academic year 2025–26.
The university will first try to fill seats using JEE Main scores.
If there are still seats left, they will use CUET scores to fill them.
Students who want to join IPU's BTech programme should take both the JEE Main and CUET exams.
This decision was approved by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
IPU will use CUET as a secondary admission channel for BTech starting 2025–26.
CUET scores will be used to fill remaining seats after JEE Main merit list exhaustion.
Students are advised to appear for both JEE Main and CUET exams.
Approval for this change was granted by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
Official communication was issued by the Director (Higher Education), Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
