MoSPI Plans Business Sentiment Surveys Using New Register
The government is creating a new digital record of all businesses called the Statistical Business Register.
This will help them understand how businesses are doing and what they think about the economy.
The new system will gather information from tax records and other sources, and use AI to help find information.
A special team is building the system, which is expected to be ready in the near future, to conduct the surveys with a larger sample size than current surveys.
MoSPI plans to conduct business sentiment surveys using the Statistical Business Register.
The SBR will compile data from GSTN and other sources to list all formal business entities.
The register will include an AI-based search engine.
A 21-member working group is developing the SBR and its IT infrastructure.
MoSPI's surveys will likely have a larger sample size than existing RBI surveys.
