Delhi Police Promises Swatantra Bharadwaj Arrest Within 72 Hours

During it, Sanjay Kumar, whose daughter is student activist Nishu Azad, was allegedly hurt.

Swatantra Bharadwaj is accused of assaulting him.

A video later showed Bharadwaj claiming he had seriously injured Kumar.

Police said Kumar had suffered a simple head injury, not a fractured skull.

Police also said Bharadwaj and another man were detained and questioned at the scene.

CJP representatives said police now promised to arrest Bharadwaj within 72 hours.

They also asked for stronger charges and a separate case about threats and online abuse against Nishu.

The police’s promised actions had not yet been reported as completed.
