KTR Demands Revanth Fulfill Promises, Halt Singareni Share Sale

K.T. Rama Rao asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to protect Singareni Collieries from a possible sale to private companies.

He also said promises made to Singareni workers before the election should be kept.

Rama Rao said the workers help the company earn large profits.

He wants them to receive more than 36% of the company’s actual profits.

He also said the government owes Singareni ₹60,000 crore.

Workers were promised refunds of income tax paid on certain benefits.

Rama Rao wants workers to receive land and interest-free loans to build homes.

He also called for resolving name-change problems and giving jobs to dismissed workers.
